NiceList ("NiceList," "we," "us," or "our") helps people create wishlists, share them with friends and family, and coordinate group gifts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NiceList, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and date of birth when you create an account.
Content you create — wishlists, items, circles, events, messages, and the people you choose to share with.
Payment information — when you contribute to or purchase a gift, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card details under its own security standards.
Usage and device information — basic, privacy-respecting analytics and diagnostics (such as device type and app interactions) to keep NiceList reliable.

2. How we use your information

To provide and personalize the NiceList experience (wishlists, circles, group gifts, reminders).
To process gift contributions and purchases through our payment provider.
To send service messages, such as gift updates, invitations you've opted into, and important account notices.
To keep NiceList safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run NiceList — for example, with people you choose to share a wishlist or circle with, and with trusted service providers (such as Stripe for payments and our cloud hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Payments

Gift contributions and purchases are processed by Stripe. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's privacy policy. We receive limited payment metadata (such as confirmation status and amount) needed to coordinate a gift, but not your full card details.

5. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your profile, manage who you share with, and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

6. Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

7. Children's privacy

NiceList is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
